At Irish Eyes on August 21, Live-Life-LOCAL 2016 kicked off our recruiting effort for our 2016 Boomer build with the Sussex County Habitat for Humanity. Quite a few guests signed-up to volunteer to help a Habitat For Humanity family. This year, we connected, communicated and collaborated.”Bravo” to those of you donated to the Sussex County Habitat and to those of you who already signed-up for our Boomer Build!

This is your opportunity to team with Sussex County Habitat for Humanity to develop skills, build homes, and advocate for decent, affordable housing in our communities. If you are reconsidering donating or signing up for the Boomer Build, read SCHFH’s Kevin Gilmore’s statement below and help make a difference in a Habitat for Humanity family right now.

Our construction team looks forward to hosting many of you on September 21 for the 2016 Boomer Build. She will assist you with sign-up and take you through the steps to prepare for a worthwhile and rewarding build experience. Remember, no particular experience or skills are required. The Habitat construction crew will train and guide you throughout the day.

Becoming a Construction Volunteer is Simple!
A Sussex County Habitat for Humanity Build Day offers both construction and non-construction volunteer opportunities. You do not need to be an expert to help on a construction site. There are many tasks that require only a willingness to learn and work with others.
Sign-up here. It’s easy to become a Habitat Volunteer.
- Go to www.sussexcountyhabitat.org
- Click on the blue Volunteer button (on the right hand side) and complete the Individual Volunteer Registration.
- View the safety training video “Volunteering On A Habitat for Humanity Job Site,” and complete the brief quiz at the end.
- Click the Calendar Tab on the top menu, go to September 21, 2016, and select Active Adults Realty Boomer Build and Sign Up Now!
