Our Featured Boomers are Tony & Beth Baldi, who relocated to Pelican Point in Millsboro from New Milford, CT. Beth is a retired school teacher of 25 years while Tony, retired from active duty after 35 years of service to our Country.
When the Baldis began looking toward retirement, they considered South Carolina before choosing Delaware for their new home.
Some of the most important factors that made Delaware the Baldis relocation choice were being able to drive to their families and grandchildren with “no flying involved.” “We wanted to be close to beautiful beaches and to enjoy affordability in our retirement that living in Delaware offers Boomers.”
The couple settled on new construction in Pelican Point in May. Located in beautiful Millsboro, the Pelican Point neighborhood allows for easy access to beaches, something important to the couple’s retirement needs. While searching for our Delaware home, “we relied on and valued Donna’s guidance. She showed us the communities that were affordable for us and still compatible to our lifestyle.”
For the summer, Tony and Beth rented a condo in Rehoboth to enjoy the beach in summertime. They were able to explore the area and take part in some wonderful summer activities, while waiting for their Millsboro home to be built.
Now, Tony and Beth are in the “moving-in” process. “We are meeting new friends; enjoying the surrounding communities and getting ready for family, friends and a new year in our new home.”
Once they are settled in, Tony and Beth plan on “enjoying the community and getting actively involved.” They may find some part time work and possibly do some volunteering to stay active.
The Baldis are big beach lovers. They enjoy gardening, golf, tennis and cooking.
On their Bucket List is “more traveling, staying healthy and enjoying life in our beautiful new home.”
