Delaware has much to offer when it comes to marking the holidays. The yuletide spirit is in the air, from elegantly decorated private homes open for touring to public buildings ready to greet visitors.

  • Open through December 31, 2017 – Holidays in Odessa, Odessa, DE
    Experience Historic Odessa during this annual holiday tradition. Visitors will experience a seasonal tradition of interpreting scenes from classic literature. Enjoy a self-guided walking tour of private homes and public buildings, many dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, decorated for the holidays. Inclusive in the ticket admission are special events along the tour.
  • Open through December 31, 2017 – Winter WonderFEST, Cape Henlopen State Park and the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal, DE
    Enjoy Delaware’s premier holiday event for the whole family. Open through December 31, and featuring the Light Spectacular at Cape Henlopen State Park daily. This year, enjoy the BIGGER Christmas Village at the Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal that features the Schellville Christmas Lane Grand Entrance, the Visit Delaware Ice Rink, Midway rides and games, live music, Santa’s Workshop INSIDE the terminal featuring crafts for children to make, and more.
  • Open through January 7, 2017 – Yuletide Tour at Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library, Winterthur, DE
    Yuletide tours, galleries, shopping, and Yuletide jazz and wine await you at Winterthur.
  • Open through January 1, 2018 – Holidays at Hagley Museum and Library, Wilmington, DE
    The 1803 du Pont family ancestral home, Eleutherian Mills, will feature holiday decorations and interpretation on the French traditions of holiday entertaining and the celebration of Twelfth Night.
  • Open through January 7, 2018 – A Longwood Christmas, Kennet Square
    Enjoy a French inspired Christmas at Longwood Gardens. The Conservatory is decorated in a style reminiscent of France’s Versailles with fanciful topiaries, imaginative wreaths, ornate mirrors, and more than 50 trees trimmed in classic holiday hues and sparkling crystal ornaments. Thousands of floating cranberries, apples, and gilded walnuts create an intricate mosaic in the grand tradition of a French parterre garden.
